Time is running out -- We need to take immediate, corrective actions to safeguard the global environment before even more irreparable harm is done. It has been proven that we cannot count on government regulations alone to solve the environmental problems caused by major corporations.
We must use our power as consumers, investors, and employees to demand that companies in all sectors of the economy act immediately to take reasonable, environmentally-sound actions. We believe that many private sector leaders are ready, and even eager, to take these actions, but there needs to be strong, collective pressure before changes will be made.

Through Ecopledge, I will join a community of environmentally conscious citizens. We will work together to identify companies that can make specific, practical improvements to their environmental behavior, and we will ask companies to make those changes.
